Two for Two
The Hericanes had a strong weekend winning both of their OWHA Round Robin games by an identical score of 3-2. This puts the Hericanes at the top of their pool to qualify for the Ontario Championships in April. They have a record of 4 wins and 1 loss in the first 5 games with the final game this Saturday against Kitchener.
The Hericanes defeated the Woolwich Wild on Saturday by a score of 3-2. It was a back and forth type of game. Halle Murray scored the winning goal in the third period while Mia Thompson collected two. Erinn Zyta continued her strong play in net. On Sunday, the game was very similar to the previous day's one with the Hericanes nosing out the Cambridge Roadrunners 3-2. Mia Thompson scored twice with the winning goal going to Brianne Barker. Halle Murray was solid in net and the defence played very well.
