What a Weekend
What a weekend for the Novice B Hericanes as they defeated the Woolwich Wild 2-0 on Saturday and then lost a tightly contested game against Belmont 2-1 on Sunday. On Saturday, Erinn Zyta earned the shut-out with strong play throughout. The offense was lead by Chloe Hislop who scored 2 goals. The defence was strong from start to finish and what was even more impressive was they played shorthanded due to illness which meant we had only 3 girls manning the blueline. On Sunday, two very even matched teams played a hard fought game with Belmont just getting by the Hericanes. Mia Thompson scored the lone goal but it was a back and forth game which will help the Hericanes later in the year. Good luck this weekend girls when you participate in the Kitchener Fallfest Tournament.
