The
Bantam B Hericanes wrapped up their regular season with a come from behind 2-2
tie against the first place team from Chatsworth this past weekend.
The Hericanes finished 3rd in the regular season (10 team division) with a very impressive 14-4-4 (W-L-T) record. Chatsworth finished 1st with a 16-3-3 record while Walkerton finished 2nd with a 16-4-2 record. The Hericanes only gave up 18 goals in the 22 regular season games (tied for 1st) and goaltender Katie Lee had an amazing 10 shut outs in that span!!!
The Hericanes are lined up to play Oakville in the first round who finished 6th with a 10-10-2 record which the series will be a best 2 out of 3. The Hericanes had some success against Oakville in the regular season beating them twice. But we all know that when play offs begin, it’s a new season, anything can happen and the Hericanes will need to bring their “A” game in order to be successful.
All in all, the coaches are very pleased with the girls efforts so far in the season and are hopeful for a successful play offs as well. Keep up the great work girls!!!!
