Hello everyone! It seems there is someone out there with nothing better to do then to hack our Twin Centre Hericane's emails. There have been a few being sent out to contacts within our executive. Please be aware and educated as to what to look for if receiving strange emails asking for help, money, or a reply. Even though you recognize the name, check the email address they are using and see if it is their email address. Never send money. Never give out personal info. See below...
So, you’ve accidentally opened a spam email, and you’re probably wondering: is that bad? And if so, how bad is it?
The good news is that opening a suspicious email, while not ideal, is relatively harmless. Spam emails only become a serious cyber threat if you’ve committed any of the following actions:
- Downloaded any malicious files or email attachments.
- Responded with sensitive information (like your credit card or bank account numbers).
- Clicked on any phishing links.
Don't respond to any of these emails. Block the contact and report them if possible as being spam.
Thank you,
Your Executive
