2021-2022 Season Update
Submitted By Barb Esbaugh on Friday, July 30, 2021
We would like to provide you with an update in regards to what the upcoming season will look like, as many of you likely have some questions.

We are required to submit our teams and registration numbers to the OWHA as soon as possible, as we along with our neighbouring centers plan for the start of the season.

Please assist us with our planning by registering your daughter before August 9th.

We have allowed for a $0 registration package, in recognition that we certainly are living through uncertain times.
Fees will be assigned at a later date ( same process as last year)
We have been meeting virtually with our governing body the OWHA, and here is what we know so far.....
  • Our association will need to submit an application for programming, which will require approval from the OWHA.

  • The OWHA is hopeful and anticipating a more traditional hockey season.

  • On ice activities will allow for scrimmages. ( fantastic news)

  • Our goal is to provide equal ice times for all teams, with a minimum of 40 ice allotments per team.

  • Spectators will be allowed- following arena guidelines.

  • Dressing rooms will be available for use.

  • Covid-19 screening processes will remain the same for all participants for the upcoming season.

  •  No travel outside of Ontario for any activity.

  • Tournaments are still on hold, likely available after October 1st.

  •  League play will likely remain within our Public Health Unit...once approved.

  •  No restrictions on the number of on ice participants, or extended groups.

  • Wellesley Township will open ice at both locations for the upcoming season.
September 18th for the Wellesley Arena
Thanksgiving for the St. Clements Arena
*subject to change.
Fees for the upcoming season will be set at:
U8-U18 $ 650
Senior $ TBA
Please remember that each returning player/goalie from the 2020-21 season will receive a credit of $120 towards their registration costs.
Therefore a returning player will pay $530.00 in registration fees for the 2021-22.
*This was previously $100- however we received a refund in the amount of $19.71 per player from the OWHA.
Goalies will pay 50% of the posted rates.
Therefore a returning goalie will pay $205.00 in registration fees for the 2021-22 season.
As always, with the Covid-19 pandemic, guidelines change quickly. Our next meeting with the OWHA is on August 10th.
We are still accepting coaching applications, please reach out to Aaron Birrell at 519-569-1101 with any questions, applications are available via the website.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the rink
